The medical instrument has an outer shaft (12), at whose distal end an electrically conductive blade (16) is arranged. The blade is insulated electrically against the outer shaft. A current line (42) is available at a working input (29). Another current line (50) is provided at the working input. The latter current line opens out distally in an outer contact (52), which stays in connection with the electrically conductive blade of the outer shaft.
