PURPOSE: A water ionizer and the bar code-attached water purifying filter mounted on the water ionizer are provided to confirm the authentic water purifying filter by checking the ID of the water purifying filter. CONSTITUTION: A water ionizer includes the following: a water purifying filter(10) filtering raw water; an electrolytic cell electrolyzing the purified water discharged from the water purifying filter, to produce alkaline water and acidic water; a bar code(40) attached to the water purifying filter; a bar code reader for reading the bar code on the water purifying filter.
