PURPOSE: A shortcut interface providing terminal and a method thereof are provided to supply shortcut interface which is suitable for a current screen by corresponding to the change of content or an item displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A display unit displays an item in a display area. An input unit(120) receives a shortcut input. A control unit(150) allocates a shortcut key to the shortcut key target item among items displayed on the display area based on shortcut item information. If the allocated shortcut is inputted, a control unit performs operation corresponding to an item allocated to an inputted shortcut key.
