The dummy load current converter for an inductive load generator comprises alternating current leads (1), one of which is connected to thyristors (2a, 2b) connected in parallel in opposite directions. The dummy load connection across the lines has load elements (3, 4) in series with a condenser (5). In parallel with the dummy load connection are another pair of thyristors (6a, 6b) connected in opposite directions. The arrangement produces a phase angle lag between the current and voltage components of the load circuit, as the flow direction of current in each thyristor is dependent on the threshold voltage applied during each half-cycle. |
