<p>Linkage system for actuating a vertically displaceable clamping ram for use in a horizontal forging machine, comprises a strut which is actuated by a double armed lever at one end and a shell wedged onto a crank pin at the other, the crank pin being rotatable in the bearings fitted into the clamping ram. Furthermore the main pins of a crank are supported so that they can be turned in the upper bore of clamping rods which can be pivoted round a stationary pin, the axis of which forms a common vertical plane with the axis of the crank pin.</p> |
