PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing hot reduced iron are provided to simplify mineral drying and transfer processes by properly drying mineral and charging the dried mineral directly into a mineral layer formed in a reduction furnace. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing hot reduced iron comprises steps of: drying mineral in a mineral dryer(10), supplying the dried mineral to one or more reduction furnaces(201), reducing mineral in the reduction furnaces to obtain reduced iron, discharging exhaust gas from the reduction furnaces, dividing the exhaust gas to provide mineral transfer gas, and transferring the sensible heat of the exhaust gas to the mineral transfer gas through heat exchange between the exhaust gas and the mineral transfer gas. |
