PURPOSE: A formation device for secondary batteries is provided to maintain a temperature inside a formation chamber to a predetermined temperature using a discharge voltage of a secondary battery and to prevent chemical characteristic change of the secondary battery caused by the heat generated in discharge. CONSTITUTION: A formation device for secondary batteries comprises: a formation chamber(100) in which a plurality of secondary batteries are accommodated; a charge voltage supply part(1) for applying a charging voltage to the secondary battery; a power converter(2) for converting direct current voltage discharged in the secondary battery into AC voltage; an air handling unit(3) for maintaining the formation chamber to a preset temperature; a control part(4) for controlling the charge and discharge of the secondary battery and the operation of the resonator; and a power switch(31).
