<p>Prodn. of alpha-CaSO4.1/2H2O by heating a CaSO4-contg. starting material (I) with satd. steam in the autoclave at 110- 50 degrees C in which beta-CaSO4.1/2H2O, is mixed with 3-9% pref. 5-7% water (based on wt. of (I), the mixt. moulded at 100-500 kg/cm2 and these moulded articles then treated with steam in the autoclave. After treatment, the bricks may be ground and the powder used as fillers/reinforcing agents or in the prodn. of plaster-board.</p> |
