<p>Thallophyte microorganisms are cultured by known methods in media contg. (I) suitable salts; (II) 0.001-0.2% by wt. of an amino acid enzymovitaminic complex contg. (a) alpha- or beta-amylase, (b) at least one of the following: 1,6-glucosidase, hexokinase, amylomaltase, the phosphorylases, xylonase and Schardinger's enzyme, (c) methionine and opt. other amino acids, (d) at least one vitamin. The culture may be used in baking, brewing, and in prepn. of medicaments such as Bifidus Factor II.</p> |
