The cover (3) has plate elements (5) e.g. clear glass disks, spaced at a distance from gutter side walls (4, 17). Support elements (6) are connected with the plate elements and support the plate elements with respect to a gutter base and the side walls. A notch is arranged at longitudinal sides (9) of the plate elements. An extension extends perpendicular to a plane formed by the plate elements and is arranged on both sides of a contact surface for the plate elements at the support elements. The support elements exhibit a shape at a side turned towards the base.
