PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent location interference with an electric sensor unit. CONSTITUTION: A developing device(60) including a photoreceptor(61) is formed in a main body and allows detachment from the developing device. An electric potential sensor unit(200) measures the surface potential of the photoreceptor, and a cover(80) is opened and closed to allow the detachment and attachment of the developing device. An interference preventing unit prevents location interference with the electric sensor unit. A link device(100) connects the cover with the electric potential sensor unit, and rotates to enable the movement of the electric potential sensor unit.
