A METHOD FOR PREPARING WATER-SOLUBLE NANOPARTICLES AND THEIR DISPERSIONS

PURPOSE: A method for preparing an aqueous dispersion of water-soluble nanoparticles is provided to increase a 1 time treatment quantity by 10 times compared with an existing method and to prevent the degeneration and oxidation of particles using antioxidants and ligand removers. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an aqueous dispersion of water-soluble nanoparticles comprises the steps of: (i) dispersing metal nanoparticles including hydrophobic ligands on the surface of particles into a hydrophobic solvent; (ii) mixing the dispersion of step (i) in a surface modifying liquid containing surfactants, wetting dispersants, and an aqueous solvent; (iii) mixing ligand removers into the mixed solution of step (ii) to produce hydrophilic metal nanoparticles and separating the hydrophilic metal nanoparticles; and (iv) dispersing the hydrophilic metal nanoparticles into an aqueous solvent.
