SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to enhance coupling strength by forming uneveness or protrusions and to improve sealability of a secondary battery in the increase of external shock and internal pressure. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly(10) in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are arranged around a separator(12); a case(20) in which the electrode assembly is accommodated; a cap assembly(30) sealing the open end of the case; a gasket(40) interposed between the case and the cap assembly; and a liquid leakage prevention unit(50) formed on at least one side of the cap assembly or the gasket.
