PURPOSE: The power factor improvement circuit improving the power factor and constitute the power source in which the harmonic limit correspondence is necessary and the LED lighting apparatus using this are offered. CONSTITUTION: The power factor improvement circuit comprises the AC power source(AC), the rectifier circuit, the transformer(T1), the serial circuit, the rectifier smoothing circuit(RC1), the control circuit(10). The rectifier circuit rectifies the AC voltage of the AC power source. The transformer(T1) comprises the primary coil(P1), the secondary coil(S1) and tertiary coil(P2).
