TISSUE CULTURED MORINDA CITRIFOLIA ROOT EXTRACT HAVING ANTI-ALLERGY ACTIVITY AND COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Morinda citrifolia adventitoiuis root extract for preventing and relieving allergies is provided to suppress histamine expression in skin cells. CONSTITUTION: A Morinda citrifolia adventitoiuis root extract with an anti-allergic activity is prepared by culturing leaves, stems, seeds, fruits, or roots of Morinda citrifolia and isolating Morinda citrifolia adventitoiuis root with an organic solvent. The extract is fractioned using hexane, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, butanol, or water. The organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, hexane, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, butanol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, or glycerin.
