PURPOSE: A processing method of waste insulating oil containing polychlorinated biphenyl is provided to prevent the reduction of the ultraviolet ray penetration rate of the waste insulating oil. CONSTITUTION: A processing method of waste insulating oil containing polychlorinated biphenyl comprises the following steps: extracting the polychlorinated biphenyl from the waste insulating oil by mixing a solvent for the extraction(S1); separating the solvent from the waste insulating oil(S2); distilling the solvent for extracting the polychlorinated biphenyl, for recycling the solvent(S3); adding alkali to the solvent, and mixing and stirring(S4); and irradiating ultraviolet rays to the solvent containing the alkali(S5).
