PURPOSE: A moving image generating apparatus and method, and a moving image playing apparatus and method are provided to produce and reproduce a moving picture by reducing unnecessary resources. CONSTITUTION: Based on script information for a template and contents, a composer(122) generates a script for defining a moving picture comprising the template and the contents. A storage management unit(131) reflects the setup items inputted from a user to the generated script. The storage management unit stores the moving picture in script format. The setup items include the information on the script which defines the moving picture.
