METHOD OF MARKING RAIL WEB SURFACE

FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and is intended for marking rail web. Marking consists in applying symbols on rail surface by liquid paint. Liquid paint is brought on rail web surface with the help of stamp. Stamp marking surface is made 1 mm-thick metal plate bent in an arc with radius of 250-300 mm, plate being made from steel with carbon content of 0.14-0.37% and having roughness of 0.5-1 mcm. ^ EFFECT: sharp and accurate image of symbols, longer life of stamp, reduced consumption of paint.
