A windscreen wiper blade assembly comprising a pressure distributing harness having a substantially centrally disposed tubular member 48 for receiving a connecting pin 56 on a wiper arm 30 is provided with a releasable latching means for interlocking the blade assembly and the pin 56 in a manner permitting rotation of the assembly about the pin. The latching means may comprise a coiled spring 51 so arranged eccentrically with respect to the tubular member 48 that the ends of the spring bear on the adjacent ends of two levers 32 34 which are pivoted together by the tubular member and which form part of the harness, and a portion of the spring intermediate its ends is engageable with a recessed portion of the pin 56 when inserted in the tubular member 48. The spring 51 may be urged by a push button or finger piece to disengage the pin. |
