The method involves determining acidity in pieces of fresh plants. The fresh plants are acidified by immersion of the pieces of the plants in a food grade acid when pH value is greater than 4 or 5. The drained pieces in food plastic material cases are sealed against air and water vapor, and are treated with microwave. The food plastic material cases are hermetically closed. Microbial development is blocked in the fresh plants to inhibit enzymes by heat treatment. The food plastic material cases are cooled to preserve and transport the fresh plants. An independent claim is also included for a package for forming fresh plants.
