The method involves calculating size of parameters, and calculating an error correcting code on the parameters, where one of the parameters is a media access control (MAC) address. The parameters are loaded in a one-time programmable (OTP) zone of a unique memory of an electronic device. The zone is configured in order to lock the zone in writing. The parameters of the OTP zone are loaded in a work zone of the memory during functioning of the electronic device. An independent claim is also included for a data securing device comprising a memory.
