The device (10) has a pedestal (12) including a support surface (14) supported on a floor (S). A locking unit (16) locks a base (18) of a trunk (20) of a natural or artificial tree. The locking unit is connected to the pedestal by a connector (22) i.e. ball and socket joint, that is orientable in rotation along a horizontal axis (H1), another horizontal axis (H2) or a vertical axis (V1). The pedestal has a disk comprising three attachments that are inclined towards the floor. The locking unit has a U-shaped support (28) formed by U-shaped iron bars symmetric along a vertical plane.
