Improved tuyere for a converter

Tuyere consists of two concentric tubes through which central jet of O2 or O2-rich gas is blown surrounded by annular jet of second gas, e.g. fluid which dissociates endothermally such as hydrocarbon. Interior and/or exterior tube is composed of at least one metal or alloy having m.p. high enough not to melt at temp. of use, heat conductivity such that appropriate heat transmission is ensured, and low tendency to oxidise at high temp.
