摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the degree of arterial sclerosis in various scenes in daily life of a subject by attaching miniaturized and lightweight pressure sensors to a wrist and ankle in such a way as not to disturb the normal life and movement of the subject and by continuously recording the artery pressure waveform from the sensors by using a miniaturized recording device. <P>SOLUTION: Thin-film piezoelectric sensors are attached on the arteries in the wrist and ankle of the subject for detecting the pulse pressure waveform in the regions, and the detected values from the sensors are recorded together with sampling times in the recording device. The recording device is connected to an analyzer via a data communication cable, etc., and the pulse pressure waveform is computed based on the data recorded in the recording device. The time difference between the detected values for the same pulse pressure is found based on both peak values, and the artery propagation rate per passage time is analyzed and evaluated based on the time difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
