<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a video obtained by combining graphic images of stereoscopic vision or two-dimensional vision in response to an input video signal. <P>SOLUTION: A signal determination portion 201 determines whether an input video signal is a video for stereoscopic vision or two-dimensional vision. When the input video signal is the video for stereoscopic vision, OSD image signals for a right eye and a left eye individually generated by an OSD generation portion 211 are synchronized and combined, by blend processing portions 222, 223, with video signals for the right eye or left eye separated from the input video signal by a right/left image separation portion 221; a frame rate conversion portion 224 generates an image frame arrangement; and image frames of the image frame arrangement are output to a sequential display unit 61 in a predetermined order. When the input video signal is a two-dimensional video, an image frame arrangement obtained by synchronizing and combining the generated two-dimensional OSD image signals with the input video signal is generated.
