PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce data volume of an obtained image, simplify mail process, and reduce size of image appended to a mail. SOLUTION: A portable terminal device includes: a display part (6) for displaying an image; an image conversion part (8) for converting the image and editing the image; and a mail editing part (10) for editing the mail. An image (104) obtained by photographing, etc. is converted into a specified image size or pixel density, and an image (106) obtained by editing a message (for example, a photo-message) is edited into a mail, whereby achieving reduction of the data volume of the image, perform process before sending the mail quickly, reduce size of storage capacity of the image appended to the mail, and the like.
