PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a conventional method for measuring the opening distribution of an array antenna comprised of a plurality of radiating element antennas arranged in line is based on discrete Fourier-transform; therefore, sample points are discrete and are subject to some restrictions even when possible causes for a rise in a minute side lobe in actually measured radiating pattern or an inclination in a main beam direction attempt to be analyzed, thus making a detailed analysis of the radiating pattern difficult. SOLUTION: By elongating the radiating pattern in a visible region, discontinuity at a visible region end in Fourier-transform is removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
