PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device releasing pressure in a twist direction; and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The sheet conveying device includes a drive member rotatingly driven; a driven member driven rotatably supported at a position opposed to the drive member, and conveying a sheet between itself and the drive member; and an urging member for urging the driven member toward the drive member.
