PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a split screen suitable to a visually recognizing person without a complicated operation. SOLUTION: A display device includes a detecting means for detecting the existence of a person, splits a screen on the basis of information detected by the detecting means, displays the respective split screens while making display directions thereof different, determines display states of the split screens and displays the split screens. Thus, the visually recognizing person can display split screens suitable to the visual recognition direction of the visually recognizing person without having to designating the number, the position display directions, or the like of the split screens.
