<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for installation of a structure, which firmly supports even a large number of solar cell modules, and which facilitates the construction work thereof by using fewer components. <P>SOLUTION: A left side end of each side plate 15a of a first crosspiece member 151 is sandwiched by being inserted into the inside of the one-side end of each side plate 15a of a second crosspiece member 152. The side plates 15a spread on the sides of hat-shaped cross-section openings of crosspieces 15 (the crosspiece members 151 and 152), respectively. Thus, when the one-side end of each side plate 15a of a second crosspiece member 152 has only to cover the left side end of each first side plate 15a of the first crosspiece member 151, the left side end of each first side plate 15a is sandwiched by being inserted into the inside of the one-side end of each second side plate 15a.
