METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING CONTROL LOOP TIMING FOR PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for adjusting control loop timing for a process control system.

SOLUTION: The method for adjusting control loop timing includes: a step of receiving a first input signal which is generated by using a first process control device in the process control system; a step of determining whether or not the first input signal is received during a first planned time frame of the control loop in the process control system; and a step of adjusting the timing for an input signal that follows after reception from a first process control device inside the process control system so that the following input signal is received during the planned time frame of the following control loop wherein the timing of the input signal that follows is at least based on the time the first input signal is received in the step of adjusting the timing.
