PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate flat membrane element for which a material to be used is controlled, the strength of the flat membrane element is increased, and the warp, shrinkage and twist, etc., of a product are prevented from occurring even when a temperature condition is changed. SOLUTION: The flat membrane element is formed of a frame-like flat membrane element body 1 which has a filtration membrane 4 disposed on the outer side face and solid-liquid separates sewage by filtration and a water collection connection part 3 disposed at the side end part of the flat membrane element body 1. A rib 2 in a grid shape is formed inside the flat membrane element body 1, and a filtration liquid flow path 31 is formed along the connecting direction of the flat membrane element inside the water collection connection part 3, respectively.
