PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper tube having a base firmly installable without causing a slide of the paper tube and the base and without impairing circularity. SOLUTION: The paper tube with the base is attached to both ends of a winding paper tube. The winding paper tube is characterized in that 12 pieces of punch holes are formed outward in the radial direction from the inside of a base body fitted in a hollow part of the paper tube, and the bite-in depth of the punch hole to a paper tube layer is arranged so as to become 3.0-5.0 mm. It is preferable that the base is adhered to the paper tube with a chloroprene rubber-based adhesive, a shape of the punch hole becomes long in the longitudinal direction of the paper tube, and the tensile strength of a base material is 350 N/mm<SP>2</SP>or larger.
