A mounting element for securing an object to a support and for preventing transfer of vibrations between such object and support comprises an inner sleeve 3 located in an outer sleeve 2 and connected thereto by a plurality of resilient webs 4. The sleeves 2, 3 which may be coaxial and generally circular in cross-section may respectively be provided with recesses 7 to promote anchorage of the element in the support and with a longitudinally ridged bore 5 for receiving a wood-screw. The webs 4 may extend tangentially of the inner sleeve 3 and a vibrationdamping material may be provided in the cavities 9 between adjacent webs 4. The inner and outer sleeves may be interconnected at one end of the element by a common wall (8) (Fig. 1, not shown) and at the other end the inner sleeve 3 may project beyond the outer sleeve 2. |
