PURPOSE: An exchange system for casino chips and a pit box with the same are provided to immediately find and prevent the cases when a counterfeit bill or a counterfeit casino chip are used. CONSTITUTION: An exchange system for casino chips comprises a counterfeit bill distinguishing counter. The counterfeit bill distinguishing counter checks the amount of bills and whether the bills are counterfeit. A chip identifying device(310) checks the amount of casino chips and whether casino chips are counterfeit. A controller is connected to the counterfeit bill distinguishing counter and the chip identifying device. The controller checks whether the checked amount of bills is the checked amount of casino chips.
