<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for providing bioimpedance analysis. <P>SOLUTION: In some aspects, equivalent circuit frequency response models are provided which lead to improved correlation with MRI data. The frequency response models take account of body composition including the fat component of a body segment. Data obtained by carrying out bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) and MRI on a calf of a subject show that the improved correlation is obtained, being compared to a single frequency analysis at in 50 kHz and an analysis using a normal Cole-Cole model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
