<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of color mixture, and also improve sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: Each of filter layers 130R, 130G and 130B is extended in a vertical direction y over light receiving surfaces JS of photodiodes 21 aligned in the vertical direction y.
