<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a radar body less apt to be influenced due to radiation heat of an engine, by adopting a structure wherein the radar body is arranged separately from an engine, to secure stable operation by avoiding stop of radar function caused by heat, and to improve system reliability utilizing radar functions. <P>SOLUTION: In a radar device for a vehicle including the engine, the radar body for transmitting/receiving electromagnetic waves, and a waveguide through which the electromagnetic wave transmitted/received by the radar body passes, in an engine room provided on a front part of a vehicle; the radar body is arranged at a position separated from the center of the vehicle width direction of the engine room, and one opening part of the waveguide is arranged farther close to the front side than to the engine at the center of the vehicle width direction; and the other opening part thereof is arranged at a position separated from the position of the engine, and is connected to the radar body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
