PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction machine 100 having improved efficiency and precision of processing performed by an automatic color selecting function when implementing an image repeating function. SOLUTION: The multifunction machine 100 includes an inhibiting means 504 of inhibiting an automatic color selecting means 505 from performing determination processing when an image repeating means 502 causes an image reading means 503 to read an image of a document, and a control means 507 of canceling the inhibition by the inhibiting means 504 and causing the automatic color selecting means 505 to determine whether a hollowed-out image is a monochromatic image or color image when the image repeating means 502 repeating the hollowed-out image a plurality of times to form an image.
