PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both engine output characteristics and tuning of intake sound. SOLUTION: An intake chamber 3 is provided under an intake pipe 2, a rotary cylinder 4 forming a part of an intake passage and a cover 5 enclosing and rotatably supporting the rotary cylinder are provided at an intermediate part of the intake pipe. A plurality of holes 9a-9e smaller than the minimum passage cross-sectional area Ai of the intake pipe are arranged in the rotary cylinder at intervals in the axial direction and an axial slot 11 is provided in the cover for selectively opening one of the holes. As a higher-pitched sound than the sound based on the total length of the intake pipe can be generated when air flows in the intake pipe from the intake chamber through the hole provided in the pipe wall of the intake pipe, the intake sound is increased according to increase of an intake air flow during acceleration or the like and sporty feeling of acceleration by the intake sound is obtained.
