PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary screen printer simplified in structure by simplifying a mechanism for rotating a plate cylinder. SOLUTION: A plate cylinder rotation mechanism for rotating a plate cylinder 3 having a cylindrical screen plate 31 includes a shaft 41 inserted into a cylindrical impression cylinder 5 sandwiching a sheet-shaped workpiece W with the plate cylinder 3, and a rotary driving source 42 connected to one end of the shaft 41. Rotation of the shaft 41 is transmitted from both ends to the plate cylinder 3 by four gears 441, 442, 443, and 444, thereby rotating the plate cylinder 3. The gear 441 located on the tip side of the shaft 41 includes a clutch 45. When the plate cylinder 3 is loaded, the clutch 45 is cut off to engage the respective gears 441, 442, 443, and 444.
