<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing lens obtaining desired shading effect by selecting a position seeing in a lens in response to a circumferential environment. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing lens includes a polarizing layer 6 on a substrate 1, and at least a part of a polarizing axis 11 of the polarizing layer 6 is in the form of a closed curved line.
