<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat floor cable improved in mechanical strength and fire retardancy. <P>SOLUTION: The flat floor cable 1 includes a plurality of insulated wire cores 2 arranged in parallel, and external covers 3 provided around the insulated wire cores 2 to hold the insulated wire cores 2 at their upper and lower sides in predetermined numbers.
