<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for a can end, which has such high strength as to be sufficiently capable of being thinned, is superior in toughness, and is controlled so as to have anisotropy suitable for manufacturing a can without changing a die for intermediate annealing even when an intermediate annealing step is omitted, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet for the can end is used for manufacturing the can end by stamping a blank 1 and forming the blank 1, and is produced by being cold-rolled while skipping the intermediate annealing step after a hot rolling step. The manufacturing method is also disclosed. The aluminum alloy sheet for the can end includes Si, Fe, Cu, Cr, Zn, Mn and Mg so that Mn and Mg satisfy a specific correlation. In addition, an earing rate (A) at 0°-180°is 5.0-7.0%, and an earing rate (B) at 45°is 6.0-9.0%. A relationship between the (A) and (B) satisfies 15.6≤1.33×(A)+(B)≤16.6.
