<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To particularly achieve large power reduction by carrying out power supply to a printing device body when printing data are supplied to the printing device and by stopping power supply to the printing device body for a period of time other than the a period of the power supply, related to the printing device such as a printer device using PLC. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device has a receiving means which receives the printing data supplied via a power line; a converting means which converts the printing data received by the receiving means to data transmittable via a communication line to the printing device body; a printing processing means which performs printing processing to a recording medium on the basis of the printing data converted by the converting means; a switching means which is arranged between the power line and the printing processing means and feeds AC power from the power line to the printing processing means; and a control means which carries out power supply to the printing processing means by switching the switching means when the printing data are inputted to the receiving means, and stops power supply to the printing processing means by switching the switching means when the printing processing means completes printing processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
