PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment support system having improved maneuverability when an operator carries out a treatment on a subject while referring to a navigation image. SOLUTION: Three-dimensional volume data of the subject are photographed by an MRI apparatus (S101). A region of interest and an approach plan route of a puncture needle are set on a navigation image clipped out from the three-dimensional volume data (S102 and 103). A 3D navigation is actuated to detect the position and the posture of the puncture needle (S104 and 105). Ultrasonic imaging is then started to acquire elasticity information of the tissue of the subject shown in a sectional view of ultrasonic tomography (S106 and 107). The treatment support system detects on a real-time basis an ultrasonic image region of interest in the sectional view of ultrasonic tomography on the basis of the elasticity information and detects a target position (S107), then transmits the target position to reflect in the navigation image (S108 and 109). The operator can grasp the actual target position by referring to the ultrasonic image region of interest. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
