PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the bias of temperature distribution in a sub scanning direction. SOLUTION: A thermal print head 10 includes insulation substrates 34, 36, a first resistance part 41, a second resistance part 42, a third resistance part 43, a first returning electroconductive part 46, a second returning electroconductive part 47, and electrodes 51, 52. The first resistance part 41, the second resistance part 42, and the third resistance part 43 extend in the sub scanning direction 92 in the surfaces of the insulation substrates 34, 36 and are arranged while lining in series spaced apart from each other by an interval in a main scanning direction 91. The first returning electroconductive part 46 connects one end 42a of the second resistance part 42 and one end 41a of the first resistance part 41 and the second returning electroconductive part 47 connects the other end 42b of the second resistance part 42 and one end 43b of the third resistance part 43. When voltage is applied, the first resistance part 41, the first returning electroconductive part 46, the second resistance part 42, the second returning electroconductive part 47, and the third resistance part 43 are energized in this order.
