PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the breakage of an information display layer caused by electrodes for applying a potential to the information display layer, when the information display layer for displaying the information with application of a potential is laminated. SOLUTION: The electrode substrate for a display device includes the display electrodes 10a to 10q formed on the surface of the base substrate 20 on which the information display layer is laminated, and configured to apply the potential to the information display layer. Each of the display electrodes 10a to 10q has, on the peripheral edge portion 13 thereof, the highest position area 14 which becomes larger in height than other areas in association with the formation thereof on the base substrate 20, and in the peripheral edge portion 13, the highest position area 14 is located closer to the center side than the end side of each of the display electrodes 10a to 10q.
