PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract the main sheave of a hoist for an elevator at site. SOLUTION: This sheave replacement device includes a rod for extraction which can press the end of a rotating shaft 7 when a main sheave 6 is extracted from the rotating shaft 7, a plate 13a for sheave extraction which faces outside disk face facing the outer side in the rotating axis direction of the main sheave 6, is fixed to the outside disk face, and in which a through hole 17 for extraction which penetrates through an axial direction and through which the rotating shaft 7 and the rod for extraction can pass is formed, and a drive part 24 which makes the rod for extraction press the end of the rotating shaft 7 toward the rotating shaft 7 while the rod for extraction extends through the through hole 17 for extraction and which moves the plate 13a for sheave extraction to which the main sheave 6 is fixed in the direction apart from the rotating shaft 7.
