PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper stacking device for preventing sticking to a tray when ejecting first paper, and preventing the occurrence of a folding trace by a rib in the first paper when stacking in large quantities. SOLUTION: This paper stacking device has a mens for receiving and carrying the paper successively fed from an image forming device, a means for registering the paper by shifting the paper in the first direction orthogonal to the carrying direction and the inverse second direction of the first direction to be superposed by dislocating an ejecting position with every predetermined sheet number, a paper width directional registering means for registering both side end surfaces of the paper in the orthogonal direction to the carrying direction of the paper, a paper edge registering means for butting and registering the edge in the carrying direction of the paper, a liftable paper stacking means for successively stacking the paper of registering both side end surfaces and the edge of the paper by the paper width directional registering means and the paper edge registering means, a stiffening rib means of a rib shape storable in a paper stacking means, and a rib storage means for storing the stiffening rib means when the stacking number of the paper exceeds the predetermined sheet number.
